Our People
Guy Gronberg
Guy is a native Minnesotan, graduating from Iowa State University and coming to the Kansas City area in 1984. Prior to establishing Guy Gronberg Architects in 1997, he worked 13 years as an architect for local firms specializing in the areas of healthcare, institutional and commercial projects.
Guy brings a great deal of passion and enthusiasm to the practice of architecture which results in a unique perspective and positive outlook to each and every project!
He approaches each project with a keen insight and works closely with the client and all members of the project team to ensure that the envisioned project is carried out to completion.
He can use his 40+ years of experience to handle all aspects of the architectural profession, from conceptual design and project budgeting to construction administration and project close-out.
He is a registered architect, a LEED accredited professional, and is a member of the local chapter as well as the national chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Ken Kleffner
Ken Kleffner performs at all levels of project involvement from drafting specialist to project architect. He provides design, project management, and technical coordination for projects.
Ken strives to merge the technical aspects of construction with the aesthetic, thus allowing him to create artistic design solutions for technically demanding spaces. When confronted with challenges, Ken is always looking to push the creative boundaries to satisfy our clients’ needs.
Ken is a Registered Architect in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri and is certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
Ken grew up in Nebraska prior to attending Kansas State University where he received a Bachelors of Architecture in 1994. After graduation Ken moved to the Kansas City area and started his architecture career working for firms specializing in the healthcare, education, and public sector markets.
Away from the office, Ken spends his time with his wife Katie and their three children; Ami, Scott and Brent. He is also a coach/mentor at Lee’s Summit North Highschool for the First Robotics Challenge team #1987, The Broncobots.
